16 October, 2026 Notice to Members Call for Research Papers ICAN Research Symposium 2026 The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal (ICAN) is pleased to inform that it is organising the First Research Symposium for its members. The Symposium is envisaged as an important platform for encouraging research, knowledge sharing and the exchange of professional insights on contemporary issues relevant to the accounting and finance profession. The following topics have been finalised for the Research Symposium 2026: 1. Global Unrest and Impact on SAFA Economy 2. Responsible AI in Finance and Audit: Balancing Innovation, Risk and Governance Few selected research papers from the ICAN Research Symposium 2026 will be nominated to represent ICAN in the upcoming SAFA Research Symposium, to be organised by the South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA). The detailed Modalities and the Research Paper Evaluation and Selection Process are available in Annexure I.
